Welfare & Volunteering
The UCL ACS Outreach Programme
Collectively, we know first-hand how daunting the University Application process can be, especially for BAME students – therefore, we are officially offering a brand new service: The UCL ACS Outreach Programme.
This programme is targeted at schools in lower POLAR quintile regions in the district of Greater London.
We sincerely believe students will benefit from having dedicated talks addressing topics such as:
Why University is worth considering
The UCAS application process
How to pick the right course and University
Alongside this, we will also be speaking about personal statements, admissions tests and interviews – before signposting the additional services that we offer to further help your students in these areas.
Whilst we would love to speak to students in person, we are very much aware that schools are taking different approaches in September as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and therefore we are offering this as a virtual talk at the convenience of staff and students.
Launching in September 2020 we hope to help as many students as possible, as early on as possible.
Therefore, if you would like your school partake in this programme, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries and we shall be in touch with further information.
The UCL ACS Volunteering Scheme
UCL ACS believes that giving back to the wider community is of the utmost importance. We are cognisant of the privilege that we have of studying at one of the world's most prestigious institutions; not everybody has access to the necessary resources to make it.
By leveraging our position in society to spur social impact, we have partnered St. Mungos Homeless Charity and Sickle Cell Charity
and hope to inspire more charitable initiatives of this kind.
To raise for money for our affiliated charities, we have organised the following fundraisers for the upcoming academic year:
UCL Cultural Societies 1-Mile Relay Race
Charity Games Night
University of London ACS Varsity Week
If you would like your local charity to be one of our beneficiaries, please do not hesitate to contact email@example.com and we shall be in touch with further information shortly.
